How do I assign engagements and manage Compilation journey?

Compilation Journey within an Engagement allows the user to interact with a dynamic engagement journey interface by expanding for detailed views, filter content, edit assignments and due dates, and seamlessly manage tasks.

Key Functions

  • Navigation and ability to edit assignments and due dates, filter content and use checkmarks

Navigation and ability to edit assignments and due dates, filter content and use checkmarks

  1. You can access the main dashboard and click on an engagement to redirect them to the engagement dashboard, and to the left, is the compressed engagement journey, with a button at the top to expand the engagement journey.
  2. When you click on the button to expand the engagement journey, the journey expands to full screen, opening it in a new screen, and at the top of this new screen, an option to collapse is evident.

  1. The expanded view offers a "filtered for" and filtering options, affecting the table below. You can click on this filter dropdown to see the names of all the other Team members assigned to this engagement as well as an Engagement option. You can update the dropdown between team member names and an "engagement" option, facilitating view customization based on team members' work or collective engagement data.
  2. The table adjusts its contents based on the filter, only showing items containing the filtered name at least once.
  3. Informational text exists for guidance, saying "Double click to edit Preparer, Reviewer, Manager, Partner and Due Date".
  4. The grid layout has the following columns: description, status, preparer, reviewer, manager, partner, due date, last edited, and review notes. Each row has a checkbox to the left of it. Status is calculated based on what stage each sub section is at in the engagement process.
  5. Main rows - planning, execution, completion - deviate from the standard, collapsible to reveal sub-rows pertinent to the main categories, each main row marked by a blue box with the header for the row inside of it on the left, and a completion percentage to the right. The percentage is calculated by the completion status of the sub rows within the row, calculated by "Completed Sections/Total Sections".f
  6. Checkmark functionality is intuitive; selecting a main row auto-selects its sub-rows.
  7. Status column icons reflect those in the engagement status section, while assignment columns list individual or multiple names.
  8. Below the title but above the grid, there is the subtext "X selected" (X being the number of items) which grays out by default, becoming relevant when items are selected, activating the adjacent "reassign to" and "edit due date" buttons.
  9. Selection of any row or multiple rows activates the "reassign to" and "edit due date" buttons mentioned earlier, the former opening a dialog for role reassignments across preparer, reviewer, manager, and partner, enabled with a search function, while the latter opens a similar dialog box to adjust the due date. Both options support bulk action, meaning that selecting more than 1 item in the grid will apply the changes to all items selected.

  1. For each dialog box, either the Reassign To or Edit Due Date box, edits aren’t final until you commit them, confirmed by a formerly greyed-out "save" button in either dialog box; consequential logic (such as removing a name from a row that matches the filter) might remove rows if they no longer meet active filter criteria.
